Churches
Churches are a vital part of the Bay Springs community. Worship services are offered by a variety of denominations in and around the Bay Springs area. In addition to worship services, churches offer many activities for people of all ages.
There are various types of churches in various sizes active in the Bay Springs area. Within the city limits are nine churches of different religions. There also are numerous churches in the rural area surrounding Bay Springs.
Churches provide many activities for members of the community. Area churches offer regularly scheduled worship services and bible study. Area churches share responsibility for providing worship services for the nursing home. Most churches offer choir for differing ages, as well as social activities such as youth and senior citizen activities.
Among religious organizations with active churches in the Bay Springs area are Baptist, Bible, Church of Christ, Church of God, Jehovah’s Witness, Methodist, Pentecostal, and Presbyterian.
Many religious organizations not located directly in Bay Springs are within a 30 mile radius. Among these are Catholic, Episcopal, Interdenominational, Nondenominational, Jewish, Latter Day Saints, Lutheran, Nazarene, and Seventh-Day Adventist.
